Story
Background
Paradox's managing partners, Laura Schnaidt and Joel Cohen, are highly experienced corporate attorneys and entrepreneurs, having founded and operated multiple businesses from scratch. Together, they have over 30 years of legal experience advising clients on corporate, transactional and fund formation matters.
With backgrounds and expertise in corporate and strategic transactions, securities law, compliance, and investment management, Paradox's managing partners bring a thoughtful and holistic approach to counseling their clients.
Paradox was founded in 2023 with the objective of creating a wider playing field for emerging companies, founders and funds wishing to access high-quality legal services, while balancing the costs of launching. After careers in Big Law and at top investment management firms, Laura and Joel saw first-hand that there was a need for an alternative to the Big Law model. Their vision was a modern law firm leveraging technology, low overhead and high touch partner-level service.
